Do One Thing Well

Most product managers know that your product should do one thing well.

If you do one thing well, your customers will know exactly when and why to use your product.

If you do one thing well, you have a hope of being the best at what you do.

If you do one thing well, there's a chance that your customers will rave about you.

And yet, I'm guessing you spend most of your time defining features. New features rarely help you get better at the one thing you should be doing well.

Do you even know what that one thing is?

If not, stop everything you are doing and figure it out. Nothing else matters.

If you know what that one things is, clear your roadmap of everything that doesn't help you get better at that one thing.
