What is Claude?
Claude is Anthropic's conversational AI tool and large language model, similar to ChatGPT. Users can interact with Claude by typing prompts and receiving responses through a chat interface. You can access Claude through its web interface at claude.ai with a paid subscription ($20/month).
What are Claude projects?
Claude projects allow you to set custom instructions (system prompts) and upload files that provide persistent context across all conversations within that project. This means you don't have to repeat the same setup for each new chat—the project remembers your instructions and has access to your uploaded files.
Claude projects work similarly to ChatGPT projects and are available through the claude.ai web interface. They're particularly useful for prototyping AI features, testing different prompts, or working on tasks that require consistent reference materials.
How does Claude compare to other AI tools?
Many users try both Claude and ChatGPT to determine which performs better for their specific tasks. In some cases, the tools perform equivalently. In others, one may significantly outperform the other for particular types of work.
